Beanstack is an online and app-based tool that promotes reading through various challenges and activities, and provides features that allow us to extend the youth Summer Reading Program beyond our buildings. This online tool is available to schools, summer camps, and afterschool facilities. Beanstack can also email book recommendations based on titles entered into Beanstack.

Teen Book Reviews: For school and college requirements, in addition to the Summer reading Program, earn 1 hour of volunteer time for each book review submission. All books count including graphic novels, eBooks, and Audiobooks. Create an account in our Beanstack application to write your reviews, track your reading, and receive recommendations.
1,000 Books before Kindergarten: This popular early literacy program aims at encouraging parents to read one-thousand books to their child before they enter kindergarten. While we are offering an incentive to the first families to sign-up, the real prize is an appreciation for books and reading. From magazine and newspaper articles to books in preschool or library story time, all reading counts. Duplicate books count too. While all 1,000 Books before Kindergarten materials are freely available from the 1000booksbeforekindergarten.org website, tracking 1,000 books is easier in Beanstack. Every 100 books, parents are encouraged to post a photo of their child on social media with the hashtag #1000BooksB4K.
