Reinforcing the "small-town" character of the Hobe Sound Community is the primary aim of the Vision Plan. The Plan's efforts and investment are geared to transforming Bridge Road into a business and pedestrian friendly main street. Other programs are currently focused on providing streetscape and general infrastructure improvements in the Banner Lake neighborhood. The Hobe Sound Community Redevelopment Plan was adopted in 2000.

The Hobe Sound Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) meets regularly at the Hobe Sound Community Center on Olympus Street and provides advice and recommendations to the Community Redevelopment Agency regarding the implementation of projects adopted within the Hobe Sound Community Redevelopment Plan.
