House of Refuge: Restoring History on the Treasure Coast

Lecture: Southeast Florida Archaeological Society monthly meeting

We are thrilled to start off our lectures for 2026 with a presentation from the Martin County Historical Society, who run the House of Refuge and the Elliott Museum. They will be presenting the current renovations and updates to the House of Refuge at Gilbert's Bar.

The Southeast Florida Archaeological Society "SEFAS" is dedicated to the greater understanding of archaeology, the protection, and preservation of Florida’s archaeological resources and the information they contain, and the encouragement and support of archaeological research, publication, and education.
