Port Salerno Community Redevelopment Area

The Port Salerno Community Redevelopment Area has a strong commercial core connected to the waterfront. The area is home to the last remaining commercial fishing dock in Martin County. Recent improvements to the community have been centered on extending a public boardwalk around existing restaurant and commercial waterfront uses.

The next step is to focus on the provision of central sewer and County water to unserved areas. The Port Salerno Community Redevelopment Plan was adopted in 2000 and revised in 2009.

The Port Salerno Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) meets regularly at the Port Salerno Civic Center on Anchor Avenue and provides advice and recommendations to the Community Redevelopment Agency regarding the implementation of projects adopted within the Port Salerno CRA Plan.
