PAWS to Read is a long-standing program offered in partnership with the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in which children have fun reading to trained therapy dogs. Readers gain confidence and improve their reading fluency in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

The recommended age for participation is 7 to 12 years. The child must be able to read independently and bring a book of their choice with them to each Thursday session throughout the month to read to the dog. Registration is required.

These events will take place at the Blake Library - Exploration Lab and are sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc.

To register, please select Paws to Read on our event calendar.
