PAWS to Read is a long-standing program offered in partnership with the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in which children have fun reading to trained therapy dogs. Readers gain confidence and improve their reading fluency in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

This program is generally recommended for kids ages 7 to 12 years old. Some PAWS to Read events require the age to be adjusted to meet the program requirements. Event details will be available in the Library Event Calendar. The child must be able to read independently and bring a book of their choice with them when participating in a PAWS to Read event. Registration is required.

PAWS to Read is sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc.

To register, please select PAWS to Read on the library event calendar.
