Below is a general outline of steps to take if your household or business was affected by the 2024 Hurricane Milton tornadoes.

  1. Check with your insurance company regarding your policy, coverage, and deductibles.
  2. File a claim for Individual Assistance through FEMA’s official application page.
  3. If your business has been affected, apply for disaster assistance through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
  4. Seek local resources through the Martin County Long-Term Recovery Group, a coalition of partner organizations helping with unmet needs.
