Beach Conditions

To hear daily, pre-recorded beach information including beach closures, tide times, surf conditions, weather forecasts, and the number of lifeguard towers open, call the Martin County Beach Information Hotline at (772) 320-3112. Lifeguards are on duty when a conditions flag is displayed on the lifeguard tower.

Beach Wheelchairs

To promote coastal access for everyone, Martin County Ocean Rescue operates a Beach Wheelchair Program. These light all-terrain chairs are available to assist individuals with mobility limitations in enjoying Martin County’s beaches.

Beach wheelchairs are available at the following guarded locations:

  • Hobe Sound Beach
  • Jensen Beach
  • Stuart Beach

To request a beach wheelchair, please speak directly with a lifeguard at one of the guard towers. Availability is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.
