Martin CARES (Citizens Academy and Resource Education Series) Resources
Register now for our new and improved Citizens Academy and Resource Education Series! Martin CARES is an award-winning program that offers citizens a behind-the-scenes look at Martin County government. Over a five-week period, participants will enjoy a variety of exciting field trips to various Martin County facilities such as our beautiful parks and beaches, historic one-room schoolhouse, senior center, and an inside look at our Emergency Operations Center. Citizens will also visit recently completed infrastructure and water quality projects, and will hear from departments under the Board of County Commissioners, as well as Martin County's Constitutional Officers. The first 5-week session begins on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, and the second 5-week session begins on Thursday, Mar. 9, 2017. Both 5-week sessions are held on Thursdays beginning at 8 a.m. Coach transportation, snacks, breakfast and lunch are provided.
