Emergency Prescription Assistance
Martin County offers emergency prescription assistance to help low-income residents who are unable to afford the cost of new, non-narcotic prescriptions. This program is designed to support individuals facing an urgent medical need who meet income eligibility requirements.
Eligibility criteria:
- Must be a resident of Martin County
- Must have an emergency need for assistance with the cost of new prescription(s) (program does not pay for refills)
- Prescription(s) must be for non-narcotic medications only (program does not pay for narcotics)
- Applicant must prove they are below 150% of the federal poverty level
- Maximum assistance limit: $200
- Qualified applicants can only receive assistance from this program once every 12 months
To request emergency prescription assistance, please contact Martin County Human Services Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at (772) 288-5785. A staff member will complete a pre-screening with you by phone to determine eligibility and explain next steps.
