Martin County's Children's Librarians love to read, but they also love to sing and dance! Join us for a story and early literacy activities.
According to Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library, singing, talking, and playing are also important for developing early literacy skills. This interactive event may use bubbles, scarves, hand-held instruments or shaker eggs, loud music, and more. All adults are encouraged to participate with their children in this fun early literacy activity. Families are welcome!

Tourist Development Council Meeting
The Council shall conduct public hearings to receive information from the public with respect to the effectiveness of the existing tourist development efforts by both public and private agencies, organizations, and businesses and the need for additional or different tourist development efforts; recommend a method of coordination of existing tourist development efforts by both public and private agencies, organizations, and businesses and of new or additional tourist development efforts to obtain maximum economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of the tourist development efforts in and for Martin County; identify and recommend methods of eliminating unnecessary duplications in existing tourist development efforts by both public and private agencies, organizations, and businesses and preventing or minimizing such duplications of new or proposed tourist development efforts; identify and develop new tourist development efforts by both public and private agencies, organizations, and businesses; create, prepare, and submit to the Board a Tourist Development Plan in the manner meeting the requirements of F.S. 125.0104, and, from time to time thereafter, make recommendations to the Board for changes to the Tourist Development Plan; from time to time, to make recommendations to the Board for the effective operation of the special projects or uses provided for in the Tourist Development Plan; review the expenditures of revenues authorized in the Tourist Development Plan and report to the Board and to the State Department of Revenue as required by F.S. 125.0104; adopt, amend, and repeal rules and to implement the provisions of any ordinance for which it is responsible; and submit an annual report to the Board of its activities and of the issues and progress of the tourist development efforts in and for the County.
Teen STEAM Summer Program
Teens will have an opportunity to build on their programming, electronics, and science skills through coding using innovative digital technologies.
In this four-day summer program, teens will have hands on opportunities to work with innovative digital technologies such as Arduino to have a better understanding of the careers related to robotics, engineering, and coding. This program is made possible by a generous donation from Clare and Molly Tyler to the Library Foundation of Martin County. This endowment enhances all STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) events throughout the Martin County Library System with the hopes of inspiring the future generation to pursue excellence in one of the STEM fields. Registration required.

Chill, Creative Coloring Club
Get ready for a Chill, Creative Coloring Club where tweens & teens can kick back, vibe out, and let their artistic side shine.
Join us most Wednesdays in July from 6–7 PM for a colorful combo of creativity and calm. Designed for ages 11–18, this weekly hangout is all about relaxing, reconnecting, and making something seriously cool.
