Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council Meeting
The purpose and objectives are to act as a County EMS advisory body, keeping members informed about State and National issues of concerns to EMS providers; to advise the Martin County Board of County Commissioners on matters concerning Emergency Medical Services; to promote regional coordination and cooperation of EMS services; to act as a liaison body for Martin County EMS providers; to provide a forum to discuss the common problems and concerns shared by EMS agencies serving Martin County; to encourage training and education of both the professional provider and members of the general public in the provision of emergency medical care; to encourage optimal performance standards; to engage in the planning, development and implementation of such activities and programs as deemed desirable in order to accomplish its general objectives or purposes, either by itself or in cooperation with other persons, groups, agencies, firms, corporations or organizations with programs relating to this Council's goals.

Local Planning Agency Meeting
This meeting is televised live on MCTV Channel 20 (Comcast), on Channel 99 (U-verse), and online at www.martin.fl.us/watch-mctv.
The Local Planning Agency is a five-member board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Local Planning agency reviews and recommends to the Board of County Commission such items including but not limited to, development applications; rezoning applications; land use amendments; amendments to the General Code, Land Development Regulations, and Comprehensive Growth Management Plan. The Local Planning Agency convenes the third Thursday of each month, and if necessary, may also convene the first Thursday of the month. The Local Planning Agency meetings are televised on MCTV. Minutes are also prepared and can be obtained in the Growth Management Department.
