Treasure Coast Music Teachers Association presents: Master Class
Talented piano students will perform for guest artist Kemal Gekic who will then instruct and demonstrate for each student.
Audience members, parents, and teachers will enjoy the interaction between a concert artist and advanced piano students.
The 1pm master class and 3:30pm concert are free of charge and open to the public.
Youth Chess Free Play
Stop by for a game of chess at the library!
Challenge friends to a game of chess, or teach yourself to play using the self-directed instructions included with our chess boards. A selection of chess resources will also be available if you want to learn a new move or strategy. For children and teens up to age 18. This program is made possible by a generous donation from Clare and Molly Tyler to The Library Foundation of Martin County, Inc. This endowment enhances all STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) events throughout the Martin County Library System with the hopes of inspiring the future generation to pursue excellence in one of the STEM fields.
Treasure Coast Music Teachers Association presents: Concert
Following the master piano class from 1pm-3pm guest artist Kemal Gekic will present a concert from 3:30pm-5pm.
Kemal Gekic, a performer and teacher of international stature, is Artist in Residence and Professor of Piano Performance at Florida International University. He performs, conducts master classes, and serves as a juror on numerous piano competitions throughout the world. His highly acclaimed performances have included appearances with Warsaw Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic of London, Japan Philharmonic Symphony, Leipzig Gewandhaus Symphony, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and others. As a recording artist, Gekic has won accolades in Europe, America, and Japan for insightful, original views of the music. He is now one of the most sought-after keyboard performers.

Explore fun and engaging robotics, coding, STEAM, animation, and technology programs designed to stimulate creativity and spark an interest in learning!
Children grades 2-6 are invited to join us as we build, play, and learn. Knit & Crochet Circle
Join us at the Blake Library for an afternoon of knitting, crocheting, and other fiber arts. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Bring your own project to work on or start something new while sharing your skills with other enthusiastic fiber artists!
Materials will be available for attendees including knitting needles, crochet hooks, and yarn (while supplies last).
Please note: While skill-sharing is encouraged, this is not a formal class and an instructor will not always be available.
