Beginning Adult Craft Sewing

During this four-week beginner course, you'll learn to use a sewing machine and sew a different project every week. This class is for adults who haven't previously participated in Beginning Adult Craft Sewing. March classes will be held on Thursday, March 2, 9, 23, and 30. (Note: There will be no class on March 16.) Please plan to attend all four classes. 
Registration required. Space is limited to four attendees. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc.

Paws To Read Sessions I & II

Children have fun reading to trained therapy dogs. Readers gain confidence and improve their reading fluency. The PAWS to Read program is a partnership with the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. The recommended age for participation is 7 - 12 years. The participants must bring a book with them to each session to read to the dog. Registration is required. Registration is for March 2, 9, 23 and 30. This event will take place at the Blake Library Exploration Lab.

Teen STEAM Night

Teens grades 6 -12 are invited to learn Google CS First presented by an instructor in this monthly series. In addition, guest speakers from the STEAM profession will provide personal experience and insight about jobs in the STEAM field. 
Registration required.

This program is made possible by a generous donation from Clare and Molly Tyler to The Library Foundation of Martin County. This endowment enhances all STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) events throughout the Martin County Library System with the hopes of inspiring the future generation to pursue excellence in one of the STEM fields.
