Family Place Field Trip

Family Place will be located off library premises today. For more information call 772-221-1407.
This 5 week program encourages parents/caregivers to play with their child in a fun, educational setting. A local resource professional is available at each session to discuss parenting topics. After an hour of free play, gather for a short circle time with Miss Lisa, our Family Place coordinator, for songs, finger plays and bubbles!

Online Safety and Privacy

The internet can be a wonderful resource. However, it can also be a scary place. We constantly hear of people getting information stolen through the web. Luckily there are some easy ways to protect your information from online criminals. This class will teach you some simple methods for keeping your information safe while on the web. We will cover strong passwords, how to avoid phishing scams, and how to generally protect your personal information online. Registration requested.

Agriculture and Natural Resources Advisory Committee Meeting

The Agriculture and Natural Resources Advisory Committee shall have the duty and responsibility to advise the Board of County Commissioners in matters affecting agriculture and natural resources throughout the County, as appropriate. Additionally, the Committee shall prepare an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners, including an update on recent trends in local agriculture and natural resources and a summary of the Committee’s activities.

Locally famous children’s entertainer, Brian Reskow, aka Mr. Brian, is back at the Hoke Library! Join him and learn some basic music concepts, enjoy a sing-along to some fun songs, and play along with him on some simple musical instruments. Port Salerno Neighborhood Advisory Committee Meeting

Each Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) shall assist in the preparation of the required community redevelopment plan for its particular designated community redevelopment area. The Committee shall follow the procedures of the adopted small area planning process. The completed Community Redevelopment Plan shall be presented to the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for review and approval prior to presentation to the Board. The final Community Redevelopment Plan shall be adopted by the Board. In addition to providing advice and recommendations to the Community Redevelopment Agency on the implementation of an adopted Community Redevelopment Plan, each Committee shall work towards consensus to provide advice and recommendations to the Community Redevelopment Agency, to the extent permitted by the development review process, grant deadlines, or other similar time constraints, regarding the following: Proposed amendments and modifications to a Community Redevelopment Plan, Development applications within its Community Redevelopment Area that are classified as major applications under the provisions of the Martin County Land Development Regulations, the prioritization of...
