Martin County Parks and Recreation is proud to offer a variety of exciting programs just for teens ages 11–18, featuring monthly activities that encourage connection, creativity, and community involvement.

About

Teen Talent and Trends Wednesdays is a FREE monthly program from Martin County Parks and Recreation that invites teens to explore new interests, connect with friends, and engage with their local community.

Held once a month from August through May, each session features a unique activity such as creative arts, sports, or thrilling adventures, hosted at different locations throughout Martin County.

Program Details:

  • Dates: August 13, 2025 – May 13, 2026
  • When: Every 2nd Wednesday of the month
  • Time: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Location: Varies each month
  • Eligibility: Youth ages 11–18 who live in Martin County or attend a Martin County middle or high school.

Safety and Supervision

All program staff are Level 2 background-screened by the Department of Children and Families and are certified in both CPR and First Aid. This is a teen-only program, but parent or guardian sign in and out is required.

Registration

Pre-registration is required, but you only need to register once for the entire program year. After registering, our Teen Coordinator will contact participants each month to confirm attendance.

About

Martin County Parks and Recreation invites middle and high school students, ages 13 to 17, to join the VolunTEENS Program. This volunteer opportunity allows teens to assist with our summer day camps, gain hands-on experience, and give back to their community.

As a VolunTEEN, you’ll assist camp staff with daily operations, help plan activities, and develop valuable leadership and teamwork skills. Participation is available year-round, including during the summer.

Eligibility:

To participate, you must:

  • Be between 13 and 17 years old
  • Be CPR/First Aid certified
  • Complete a Level 2 background screening

Description

The Summer Camp VolunTEEN position is a voluntary, hands-on training role. Participants assist camp counselors and leaders with the day-to-day operation of Martin County’s summer day camps.

Duties

  • Assist counselors in various age groups on a rotating basis
  • Set up and put away equipment for daily activities
  • Inspect play areas for safety and report any hazards
  • Prepare and clean up after arts and crafts sessions
  • Keep supply and storage areas neat and organized
  • Support counselors with daily camp activities
  • Assist with field trips and help supervise campers
  • Maintain clean camp spaces, such as sweeping and mopping
  • Set up and take down tables and chairs each day
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by camp staff
  • Plan and lead one weekly sports activity
    • Must be age-appropriate and approved by a Counselor
  • Plan and lead one weekly arts and crafts activity
    • Must be age-appropriate and approved by a Counselor

Tee-rific Teen Night

Get ready for an unforgettable night of golf fun! Laugh, compete in challenges, take your best swings, and enjoy the vibrant vibe with your friends. Whether you’re a golf pro or just here for a good time, this event is for Martin County students ages 11–18 who live in or attend school in Martin County. Teens only. Pre-registration required. Parent/guardian sign in/out required. Bring student ID.

Location: Sailfish Sands Hitting Bays, 2000 SE St. Lucie Blvd.

Join us to lather up some fun and learn how to create your own custom soaps to take home.

Get ready for an evening filled with high-energy plays, friendly competition, and laughter under the lights. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to have a blast with friends,  this is the place to be.  This event is for Martin County students ages 11–18 who live in or attend school in Martin County. Teens only. Pre-registration required. Parent/guardian sign in/out required. Bring student ID.
