Martin County Parks and Recreation hosts the Martin County Senior Games in the fall of each year. The next senior games event will take place October 27 – November 4, 2018.

The Martin County Senior Games offer adults ages 50 and up, from Martin and St. Lucie Counties, a chance to compete in 13 different sporting events. In the past, hundreds of individuals competed in events such as  golf, pickle ball, tennis, swimming, table tennis, basketball shooting, bowling, cycling, and track and field.  In addition, the games serve as a sanctioned qualifier for the Florida State Senior Games State Championships.

The games promote physical and social wellness and encourage the older community to get active and stay fit for life, reflecting Martin County’s Parks and Recreation Department’s goal to provide quality recreational opportunities for all ages.

The senior population in Martin County is steadily increasing and is projected to grow by 11 percent by 2020 according to the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, making the Martin County Senior Games more relevant than ever.
