Check Conditions with Safe Beach Day

Martin County Ocean Rescue provides real-time beach conditions through Safe Beach Day, an online tool that replaces the Beach Information Hotline. Safe Beach Day helps you plan a safe visit with up-to-date information, including:

  • Current surf and ocean conditions 
  • Weather and tide information 
  • Beach hazards and warning flags 
  • Lifeguard tower availability 
  • Alerts for rip currents, marine life, or beach closures

Beach Wheelchairs

To promote coastal access for everyone, Martin County Ocean Rescue operates a Beach Wheelchair Program. These light all-terrain chairs are available to assist individuals with mobility limitations in enjoying Martin County’s beaches.

Beach Wheelchair Availability

Beach wheelchairs are available at the following guarded locations:

  • Hobe Sound Beach
  • Jensen Beach
  • Stuart Beach

To request a beach wheelchair, please speak directly with a lifeguard at one of the guard towers. Availability is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.
