Notice: Martin County broke ground and started renovations of the new leading-edge golf course on Thursday, January 16, 2020. But don't worry. We want to make sure you continue to get your daily dose of golf, and therefore will keep the Gold/Blue Course open for both 9-hole and 18-hole rounds throughout the construction period for your golfing pleasure. The driving range and former White/Red course are closed. Learn more about the planned renovations below.

Renovations coming to Martin County Golf Course

In January 2020, Martin County Golf Course began the first phase of its renovations and construction of a new world-class golf course featuring high-tech hitting bays, practice facilities, a "reversible 9-hole short course," and a championship 18-hole course.

Project Timeline:

Phase 1 (January 2020 – December 2020)

The Red and White courses will be reduced from 18 holes and redesigned as a walkable, regulation, 9-hole reversible golf course that is sustainable, fun and helps grow the game. The course will be able to be played clockwise or counterclockwise on specific days, and feature tee boxes that can also accommodate kids, seniors or the new golfer.

The design takes advantage of the site’s natural features, while reducing and utilizing the existing irrigation system where possible. The new design will improve surface drainage, reduce maintained turf and introduce landscape improvements that include removing exotic vegetation and planting native vegetation.

Features  will include:

  • 13-acre driving range with low level lights for evening play
  • Short game area to improve chipping skills
  • 8,000-square foot practice putting green
  • 9-hole course will play from 1925 yards from the front tees and 3340 yards from the back tees
  • All holes meet USGA standards for minimum yardages and include forward tees for kids, seniors and beginners

Phase 2 ( Summer 2020 – early 2021)

The second phase of the project will include a new clubhouse with golf entertainment and a new parking lot.

  • Florida Vernacular exterior design
  • Full service, indoor seating dining and bar experience
  • 20 full-service, climate-controlled hitting bays, with TVs, golf clubs and ball tracking technology and games
  • Small event room
  • Interior, exterior and on course restrooms
  • Pro-shop renovations – Exterior/Interior
