Pre-register for the Summer Reading Program in Beanstack and you will be entered into a raffle to win FREE admission to the Elliott Museum!

Kids (babies – 5th grade)

  • 3 books read = 1st FREE book prize
  • 6 books read = 2nd FREE book prize
  • 9 books read = 3rd FREE book prize
  • 10 books read = invitation to finale party!
    (Blake Library: Aug. 3 @ 2-4pm & Elisabeth Lahti Library: Aug. 10 @ 2-3:30pm)

Record books read in Beanstack via mcls.beanstack.org or the “Beanstack Tracker” mobile app or in the Summer Reading log folder available at any MCLS library location. A badge (in Beanstack) or sticker (in the Summer Reading log folder) will be earned for every 3 books read (up to a maximum of 9 books read). When 3 books have been read, show your badge or stickers to library staff to select your first FREE book prize.

Continue reading a total of 9 books in order to collect all 3 FREE book prizes. When you have read 10 books, show your completed reading log folder or Beanstack badges to library staff and receive an invitation to the Summer Reading Finale Party from any library location!

Teens (grades 6-12th)

  • Each Book Review = 30 minutes of volunteer time + entry into $50 Amazon gift card raffle.

Submit a book review online by going to mcls.beanstack.org or via the “Beanstack Tracker” mobile app. A badge will be earned for each book review submitted. Each badge will count as 30 minutes of volunteer time and an entry into the $50 Amazon gift card raffle. Teens can submit up to 50 book reviews! Raffle will be drawn after August 10th.

Adults

Adults can attend Summer Events all summer long and sign up at mcls.beanstack.org in order to receive weekly book recommendations!
