You may now make application for service by filling out the attached application form and mailing it to us, or by coming to our office at 3473 S.E. Willoughby Blvd. in Stuart. Connection to the water system is strictly optional. Upon application, a $65.00 security deposit is required. If you are mailing in your application, please be sure to include your check in the amount of $65.00. Your deposit is refundable to you in the form of a credit on your account after 25 months, provided the bills have been paid in a timely manner. Please be aware that fees are subject to change without notice. Service will commence within ten (10) working days of receipt of your deposit. Charges for the water will start on the date the meter is installed, regardless of whether or not you have connected to the water meter. The property owner may connect the service line from the water meter at the right-of-way to their home themselves, or must hire a licensed plumber to do this work. Either option you choose requires a Martin County Building permit. Please be advised that per Martin County Code Section 31-59, once you connect to the water system, you may not revert back to your well for potable water supply. You are also prohibited from having a cross connection – i.e. both your well and the potable water system being interconnected to your dwelling and/or irrigation system.
