Tax Help at the Library
AARP Foundation is offering free federal income tax assistance at four library locations from February 1, 2018 – April 13, 2018. Federal Income Tax Forms are ordered for all Libraries. AARP Foundation volunteers provide free tax preparation service to the community on a first-come-first-served basis.
Blake Library, Stuart
Located in the John F. and Rita M. Armstrong Wing
Tuesday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Wednesday: Noon - 4 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Cummings Library, Palm City
Tuesday & Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Hoke Library, Jensen Beach
Tuesday & Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Thursday: Noon - 4 p.m.
Robert Morgade Library, Stuart
Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
For tax preparation people must bring:
- Social Security card and photo ID along with cards for any dependents.
- All 2017 tax documents (W-2’s; 1099’s; SSA’s; interest and dividend statements) along with last year’s tax return
- Any expense documents to support deductions (medical; charity; taxes and mortgage amounts)
- If they purchased medical coverage through the Marketplace, they also need to bring form 1095-A.
