Page Updated:
May 07, 2020 at 04:37 PM

To support Governor DeSantis’s Executive Order 20-112 Martin County Fire Prevention offers the following occupant load guideline for local business compliance.

Restaurants will be allowed to re-open, with full outdoor seating, to include six foot spacing between tables.

Indoor seating will be allowed at 25 percent of building capacity.
Number of approved seats X .25 = allowed occupants at 25% capacity
Example – 60 seats X .25 = 15 allowed seats

On-site sale and retail businesses will be allowed to operate at 25 percent occupancy.
Leased square footage divided by mercantile occupant factor (30) times .25
2000 sq. Ft. / 30 X .25 = 16 allowed occupants
(8 occupants per thousand square feet)
