Story Time 0-4 yrs.

Martin County's children's librarians love to read but they also love to sing and dance. According to Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library, singing, talking, and playing are also important for developing early literacy skills.
Registration is limited and required.

Due to Covid-19 social distancing requirements, the second Storytime of each month is a repeat of the first one.

After School Outdoor Art

Come enjoy some outdoor after school art in the Blake Library courtyard. We will explore different art mediums that are sure to inspire your creativity and relax your after-school brain! Register for one of the three 30-minute time slots. Wear some old clothes. See you then! Registration required.

Play Along With Mr. Brian

Mr. Brian is here to share his wonderful music and let you play along with him.  Have some fun while  learning about music.

Registration is required. 

Please note: This event will be inside where due to the safety of everyone attending there is a specific limit to how many people can be in the room. Please indicate the number of your entire group (including babies) in the group registration field. Please be sure to include everyone who will be attending in that number. Thank you.

Paws To Read Session I

Children have fun reading to trained therapy dogs. Readers gain confidence and improve their reading fluency. The PAWS to Read program is a partnership with the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. The recommended age for participation is 7 - 12 years. The participants must bring a book with them to each session to read to the dog. Registration is required. Registration is for April 1, 8, 15, 22. This event will take place at the Peter & Julie Cummings Library Pavilion.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Meeting

It shall be the function of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to advise the Board of County Commissioners on the planning and implementation of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and to make recommendations on programs, services, acquisition and uses of parkland, sports and recreation facilities as well as such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of County Commissioners.

Local Planning Agency Meeting

The Local Planning Agency is a five-member board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.  The Local Planning agency reviews and recommends to the Board of County Commission such items including but not limited to, development applications; rezoning applications; land use amendments; amendments to the General Code, Land Development Regulations, and Comprehensive Growth Management Plan.  The Local Planning Agency convenes the third Thursday of each month, and if necessary, may also convene the first Thursday of the month.  The Local Planning Agency meetings are televised on MCTV.  Minutes are also prepared and can be obtained in the Growth Management Department.

This meeting is televised live on MCTV Channel 20 (Comcast), on Channel 99 (U-verse), and online at www.martin.fl.us/watch-mctv.
