Family Place @ Morgade

This 5 week program encourages parents/caregivers to play with their child in a fun, educational setting. A local resource professional is available at each session to discuss parenting topics. After an hour of free play, gather for a short circle time with Miss Lisa, our Family Place coordinator, for songs, finger plays and bubbles!

Community Redevelopment Agency Meeting

The Community Redevelopment Agency is authorized to carry out all community redevelopment and related activities specified in F.S. §§ 163.370, with the exception of the powers specifically enumerated in F.S. § 163.358, which shall be retained by the Board of County Commissioners.  The Community Redevelopment Agency is authorized to identify community redevelopment areas within the unincorporated area and within the Primary Urban Service District, of the County, and such areas shall be the focus of redevelopment activities by the agency. The identification of community redevelopment areas shall not prevent other neighborhoods within the County, who do not wish to be a part of the community redevelopment area, from soliciting redevelopment funds from sources other than the redevelopment trust fund of the Board of County Commissioners.  Development of a countywide community redevelopment plan.

Girls Who Code Club

Girls Who Code is a national non-profit working to close the gender gap in technology. This Club is a free program for 6th-12th grade girls to join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models and use computer science to change the world.

ACT Prep Course 2018

This is a free 2018 ACT prep course, specifically geared to high school juniors looking to attend college.  The instructor: Beth Treadway, a Hobe Sound resident and retired art history professor at Pace University, NY, NY; trained to teach SAT/ACT prep courses by Let's Get Ready, a non-profit NYC prep company; 5 years' experience teaching SAT/ACT prep courses, including 4 years (2014-2018) at Martin County Library System.  This course will occur every Monday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. from January 7 - April 8, 2018, including 2 full-length practice exams occurring on January 14 and April 1 from 3:30-7:30 p.m.  Students may expect approximately 2 hours of homework per week.  Registration required.
