Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of Martin County residents by providing information, referrals, resources, and services, through collaboration with community partners with the goal of supporting sustainability. Our Services:

Emergency Financial Assistance

Martin County residents may be eligible for emergency financial assistance for payment of electric bills, water bills, prescription drugs, or cremation/burial. If you have a delinquent bill and meet the federal poverty level guidelines, you may qualify.

Martin County Housing Program

Martin County's Housing Program runs the State Housing Initiative Partnership program (SHIP), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and HOME Grant. If you qualify, you may be eligible for assistance.

Under these programs, qualified homeowners can request housing rehabilitation assistance, water and sewer hook-up, and down payment for first time home buyers. In order to apply, you must be income eligible and the home must be your primary residence.

Homeless Assistance & Prevention Referral

Martin County Health and Human Services provides a variety of services to individuals who are currently experiencing homelessness. Such services include assistance with applying for financial assistance, rental assistance, substance abuse treatment referral, and connections to community support.

Emergency Prescription Assistance

In addition to substance abuse referrals, connections to community support, and financial assistance for emergency prescriptions are available to low-income residents. The County also offers limited cremation and burial assistance to individuals with no means of disposition.

Cremations and Burial Assistance

Martin County Health and Human Services offers limited cremation and burial assistance to individuals or families with no means of disposition.

Court Programs and Referrals 

The Martin County Health and Human Services office is a resource for prevention, intervention, case management and referral services for treatment courts such as drug court and mental health court. 

Drug Lab

Drug testing, referrals, and information regarding substance abuse are available upon request.
