The Customer Service Center’s mission is to establish service for water and wastewater customers, monitor usage, bill for water and wastewater usage, ensure accurate accounting of customer payments and serve as a focal point for customer issues.
The customer service staff responds to a over 30,000 phone calls per year from our customers, requesting new services, turn on – turn off services, responding to questions regarding their account and billing. The Customer Service Center is also responsible for ensuring that our customer’s water meters are read monthly and accurately.
The Customer Service Center is divided into two major sections based on the service they provide.
Office personnel are responsible for processing service orders for new service, terminating service for departing customers, converting meter readings to accurate customer billings, processing payment for services and responding to customers who call in for assistance.
Field service personnel from both customer service and field operations install and read meters, respond to customer complaints and repair or replace utility infrastructure that is the responsibility of the Utility.
Special Projects
The Utilities Division recently implemented internet payment for water and wastewater bills.Customers can view their bill, make payments and set up auto payments at the click of a mouse. Access to this can be found from the County's main web site at www.martin.fl.us and clicking on the e-Services box or by accessing the Utility and Solid Waste Departmental Page.
