Welcome to Martin County Fire Rescue
Martin County Fire Rescue Administration is located at the Martin County Public Safety Building, a joint effort involving both Fire Rescue and the Martin County Sheriff's Office. The two-story building is a hurricane-hardened command center for emergency operations, and centered within its walls is the Emergency Operations Center. Here, during hurricanes, floods, or other natural man-made disasters, Martin County's government officials can safely operate the county functions, interacting with local and outside private and government agencies through state-of-the-art communications technology.
The employees of Martin County Fire Rescue serve and protect 528 square miles of a mix of suburban, agricultural/rural lands and waterfront with a population of approximately 140,000. During the winter season (November to April), Martin County's population can swell to nearly 200,000.
