Parks and Recreation Month

Celebrate the power of parks and recreation! Join our parks challenge July 1-July 31.

July 1 – July 31

July is Park and Recreation Month, and we're celebrating the many ways parks enrich our lives through the #PowerOf campaign!

Throughout the month, Martin County Parks and Recreation will spotlight a different Power Of theme each week, including Play, Nature, Community, Connection, Belonging, and Well-Being, showcasing the incredible programs, parks, events, and experiences that bring these themes to life.

Join us and the National Recreation and Park Association as we celebrate the vital role parks and recreation play in building healthier, stronger, and more connected communities.

Follow along all month long for weekly highlights, challenges, and opportunities to get involved as we explore a new Power Of theme each week!

Now it's your turn to celebrate the Power of Parks!

Take the Martin County Parks Passport Challenge during the month of July:

  • Visit all 6 parks listed on the passport
  • Explore the amenities at each park and check them off on your passport
  • At your sixth and final park, take a photo holding your completed passport
  • Email your completed passport and photo to events@martin.fl.us
  • Share your adventure on Facebook and tag @MyMcParks

Families who complete the challenge and submit their passport by July 31 will be entered into a drawing for fantastic prizes! One entry per family, incomplete submissions will not be eligible for prizes.
